NCAA Hockey Update: Bemidji State Reaches Frozen Four.
Two weeks ago, Bemidji State became the first team in the NCAA tournament after winning the CHA championship. Sunday, the Beavers made history as the first team from outside the “Big Four” conferences to reach the Frozen Four. Behind the goaltending of Matt Dalton, the Beavers topped Cornell 4-1 to put an exclamation point on an extraordinary weekend of hockey.
Anything is possible!!! This is an unbelievable feat for Bemijdi. It is also a big win for the CHA conference, who will no longer recieve an automatic bid after this season into the national championships. Perhaps, the NCAA will think that over, after Bemidji’s amazing performance this weekend. I am telling you, Americans need to start paying attention to hockey because just like basketball, college hockey is developing parity, which allows these kinds of upsets to occur. Go Beavers!
